Congressional Recognition

In addition to community advocacy, the U.S. Congress recognized vitiligo awareness through H.Res. 792, designating October 17, 2023 as National Vitiligo Awareness Day. This highlights the importance of understanding vitiligo and combating bullying and stigma. Awareness initiatives like this campaign complement Congressional efforts to create safe, inclusive environments for those living with vitiligo.
