Change We Can See One Child At A Time!
Vitiligo Mentors seeks to make changes in the lives of children facing adversity and challenges from living with vitiligo. We operate in Atlanta, Georgia. Our mentors work with children in the community, in their schools, and many places in between.
Our unique brand of one-to-one mentoring has a great impact on the youth affected by vitiligo.
What do we accomplish?
Vitiligo Mentors help children achieve success by speaking and encouraging parents. We make in school appearances to speak with teachers and administration to educate about vitiligo. We also send helpful sun protective clothing and coupons to our youths we serve. We also arrange a makeup clinic for child if parent(s) need help camouflaging child’s skin. Sometimes we even attend doctor’s appointments if the parent(s) need support. This improves the child’s self-confidence and encourages parent.
Whom do we serve?
Vitiligo Mentors seeks to change the lives of children facing adversity between 5 and 18 years of age. Our network of growing volunteers, donors and supporters comes from all walks of life, all backgrounds, and all corners of the country.
What do we do?
Our unique brand of one-to-one mentoring, in which a child facing adversity is carefully matched with a caring adult mentor in a relationship supported by professional Vitiligo Mentors staff members.
