Vitiligo Bond invites schools, districts, educators, nurses, counselors, and family-serving organizations to share these resources with their communities.
Our goal is to help children experience belonging without singling out a student or asking them to disclose personal information. These materials can support broader conversations about respect for visible differences and bullying prevention.
Suggested first step: Choose one guide, one classroom activity, and one poster to introduce the message of respect and inclusion.
School staff should adapt activities to students’ ages and follow their school’s safeguarding, privacy, and bullying response policies.
Why Belonging Matters
Vitiligo is a condition in which areas of skin lose pigment and develop lighter patches. It is not contagious. Children deserve accurate, age-appropriate information and the freedom to decide what they wish to share about themselves.
These resources extend that message into practical lessons about kindness, respect, inclusion, and responding to bullying related to vitiligo or any visible difference.
Educational note: These materials are for general educational awareness and are not medical, mental-health, or legal advice. Seek qualified professional support for individual concerns when appropriate.
